Warmest wishes for a beautiful Christmas to all of our St. Isidore School Families.
We read The Night Before Christmas, illustrated by Robert Sabuda, in the library this week. The students enjoyed this pop-up version of this classic poem. Mr. Sabuda has his own website that provides details for making pop-up cards. You can visit his website at https://www.robertsabuda.com/
Second and Third Grade students need to bring their library book back to the library tomorrow for return or renewal. Please remember that several books have a waiting list. Thank you.
Mrs. Shuster’s Scholastic Reading Club account code is GKJGN.
The first month of the Pizza Hut Book-It Program ends today. Students should return their completed calendar or tracking sheet to their teacher to receive their pizza certificate. Certificates are good for one month from the date they are issued by the teacher. Let’s keep reading!
St. Isidore School participates in the Book-It Program. The program runs from October – March each year and is a way to encourage students and their families to read. Students are given a calendar, or other log each month to track their reading. Teachers will set a goal: either minutes per day or month, or pages or books read each month. Students complete their calendar or log and if they achieve their goal they will receive a certificate for a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut each month they achieve their goal. Thank you for encouraging your child to read and Thank You for choosing St. Isidore School for your family.
This week is the last week that students in Grades PK – K – 2 – 3 – 4 will borrow books. Students in Grades 1 – 5 – 6 – 7 – 8 have already borrowed books for the last time this school year. All books must be returned or paid for by June 7. I am attaching a letter about Summer Reading websites and activities. I hope you find this information helpful. Thank you for choosing St. Isidore School for your family. God Bless.
HAPPY EASTER! Thank you to Deacon O’Donnell for bringing Jesus to us for Adoration during Lent. We are so blessed with the opportunity to experience this special devotion each Lent. Reminder that the Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the Monstrance each Thursday in our Chapel on Pumping Station Road from 9 a.m. until about 4:30 p.m.
